Lifeguard Training Centre - A centre of excellence

The recently completed extension and improvements, part funded by the National Lottery provides a premier facility for the training of beach lifeguards.

The centres Objectives are:

• To provide an all year round training facility and social meeting place for members and to accomodate the new youth lifesaving development programme

• To provide a centre of excellence for lifeguard training to be run in conjunction with SLSA and RLSS recognised courses and to provide a source of highly trained and skilled lifeguards for the RNLI Beach Lifeguards. • To create a UK centre for the education of lifesaving organisations in Europe in need of instruction for surf lifesaving techniques, fitness and lifesaving competition
